Apple shows off their new strategy for selling low priced music files via the iPhone cellphone and the new iPod Touch. Both the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch come with WiFi hardware built-in. This hardware specifically allows both the iPhone and iPod Touch to access the Internet at a much higher rate than just connecting with the cellular modem.

During the Apple press event on the fifth of July, 2007, Steve Jobs announced that the 4GB model of the iPhone was going to be discontinued while slashing the price to the 8GB iPhone to $399. Apple has introduced another version of the iPod at their recent press event a few days ago. The iPod Touch looks strinkengly familir to the home screen on the iPhone. The iPhone has more options such as a mapping function, an actual radio transmitter for cellular phone use and the always important visual voicemail. The iPod Touch however, has a lot of benefits to the end user, such as a smaller form factor, integrated WiFi and namely the Touch sensitivity.
