Apple 3G iPods Have Locked TV OutThe new Apple Video iPods, have an interesting video out feature.  The Nano and Classic iPods only export TV out signals with add-ons that have the new Apple approved authentication chip.  These chips are being embedded within the docks/cables to unlock the TV out setting.

The new Apple authentication chips are supplied to official third-party suppliers.  There are only a handful of these third-party supplies that offer docks and cables.  Apple also offers AV cables for the new 3rd generation iPods that are selling for $49. Via Tuaw and iLounge.
