Apple has updated its iPhone cell phone firmware to 1.1.2. This was a timely update for two reasons. The first reason was that Apple just released an updated Quicktime 7.3 and iTunes 7.5. Commonly, when Apple updates these programs in concert an iPhone cell phone firmware update is around the corner.

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard has now included the Bluetooth A2DP audio profile. A2DP is the audio profile for stereo music on devices. It specifically sends a stereo signal to Bluetooth headsets so that you can listen to music and other audio from a Bluetooth equipped Macintosh computer.

It now appears they have listened to potential customers in the UK about the data usage issue and have changed their policy. Yesterday’s announcement of the MacBook Pro Software update 1.2, has been followed by the iMac 2.0, 2.4 and 2.8GHz 20-inch and 24-inch models receiving two different software updates depending on which Mac OS X version the user is running. The iMac’s have had a few issues with freezing during use and so Apple is trying to polish out this bug for maximum uptime.
