Apple has updated its iPhone cell phone firmware to 1.1.2. This was a timely update for two reasons. The first reason was that Apple just released an updated Quicktime 7.3 and iTunes 7.5. Commonly, when Apple updates these programs in concert an iPhone cell phone firmware update is around the corner.
Well, it’s here and it’s breaking some jailbroken, unlocked and activated iPhone’s. It will infact turn some of those iPhone’s into iBrick’s. It’s a good idea to wait and see what the unlocking communities will come out with to combat this new firmware.
The last time Apple released an updated firmware, it took about two weeks for a group to release a new method to jailbreak and active it. Only time will tell if this update adds enough functionality to warrant an upgrade for the iPhone. Via Tuaw.
