The Apple iPhone cellphone gets a new lease on fun. PopCap Games, best known for their online games on several popular web sites, has released the iPhone cellphone version of Bejeweled. It is downloadable through Safari. You can get the game by visiting PopCap Games web site.
This is not like any other downloadable game from PopCap, as it makes use of Web 2.0, the iPhone’s screen and wireless technologies. When the iPhone is rotated on its side, the game will change orientation. When selecting an area to move a jewel, the screen zooms to that area. When asked why this method of moving the jewels was implemented, the developer said that moving the jewels any other way was very difficult.
PopCap is working on future game releases for the iPhone. They are going to make even more use of the landscape/portrait modes and the touch sensitive capabilities. Via Businessweek.
