Apple has released the new iPhone firmware 1.01 with many things hidden under the hood. Many of these features are not noticed by most users. Most of them are security fixes for Safari. There are other changes in the firmware which hints at features yet to come. Some of these changes are highlighted in green above.
The preference files show that there are several widgets which don’t exist yet. These include Translation, Unit Converter, and Radio. An FM radio add-on has been seen before on the iPod so another iPhone accessory should be coming soon.
If Apple is able to get these widgets out before the iPhone Dev Wiki people can remains to be seen. Via Engadget.
