iPhone New Widgets Inside Firmware

Apple has released the new iPhone firmware 1.01 with many things hidden under the hood. Many of these features are not noticed by most users. Most of them are security fixes for Safari. There are other changes in the firmware which hints at features yet to come. Some of these changes are highlighted in green above.

iPhone Firmware 1.01

The Apple iPhone firmware1.0.1 is available now through iTunes.  It is mentioned on the software update window in iTunes that it specifically has bug fixes.  The most important item this update takes care of is the Safari security breach that was discovered in the first part of last month.  The security hack allowed the iPhone to be taken control of when a user visited a malicious Web page.  Unfortunately, this update does not install MMS or multimedia messaging software, chat software or flash mobile.
