iPhone Firmware Update 1.1.2 Released For US ModelsApple released the US version of its 1.1.2 iPhone firmware software.  It is available now via iTunes automatic upgrade.  To perform the update, connect an iPhone to a computer with iTunes 7.5.  The iPhone will be recognized by the iTunes software and download the necessary firmware update.  There are several new minor features for the US version of the firmware.  However, the new features are not as exciting as the 1.1.1 iPhone firmware update.

One of the first changes observed in iTunes with the new iPhone firmware, is that it will display the remaining battery charge next to the cell phone’s icon.  It also includes a new menu option that categorizes custom and standard ringtones for the iPhone.

The last upgrade to mention in this version is that it will allow a user to select Italian, French or German as the display language.  The new iPhone firmware also includes keyboard layouts for French, English (UK), German and Italian.  It is not recommended to upgrade to this new iPhone firmware 1.1.2 if the cell phone has been hacked, unlocked, jailbroken or activated with any other celluar provider than AT&T as it may turn into an iBrick.
