Mac Pro, Core 2 Duo Mac's And Xeon Xserve's Get EFI Firmware Updates

Mac Pro and Core 2 Duo Macs EFI Firmware UpdatedMacintosh Pro, Core 2 Duo Mac’s including MacBook’s, MacBook Pro’s, iMac’s and Xserve’s all received EFI firmware updates a few days ago.

The EFI firmware update versions are:

  1. Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.2
  2. MacBook EFI Firmware Update 1.1
  3. MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.4
  4. iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.2
  5. Xserve EFI Firmware Update 1.0

The EFI firmware updates are focused on improving performance with Intel Core 2 Duo processors and Xeon processors inside the Xserve servers.  Issues with Bootcamp, the Microsoft Windows software for the Intel Mac’s, have been fixed.  The EFI firmware update for the Mac Pro’s have addressed issues with the fans.
