Disclaimer: I received the LEGO Star Wars Homing Spider Droid at no cost for review. I have not been compensated for this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The kit comes complete with a photo flip book of instructions. They are easy to follow and only 102 pieces. Each step is laid out with how many pieces are required at the top and then how they fit them together with other bricks.

Those familiar with photo assembly directions like those included with IKEA furniture projects will find this much easier. It took me about 22 minutes to assemble everything. There are a few pieces that might look better in alternate configurations, so go ahead and try them out. This is all about fun after all.

There is a pictorial small view of the pieces and how many there should be in the kit. If you loose any, there is handy customer services website and phone number listed.

This Series 2 Homing Spider Droid LEGO kit comes with a Battle Doird microfigher, a flick missle and a blaster pistol. The other smaller LEGO kits in the Series 2 line are the ARC-170 Starfighter 75072, Vulture Droid 75073, Snowspeeder 75074, AT-AT 75075 and the Republic Gunship 75076. All of the kits come with a minifig to position for battle.

Really, there are a few of the pieces in the kit that are extra. Want to extend the fun virtually? Try the LEGO Star Wars Microfighters Game App, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. For iOS, it comes in at .99 cents and a 232MB download. The game is easy and mostly for early teens.

Looking for a more robust Star Wars LEGO project to work on? Turn up the fun to 11 with their Imperial Star Destroyer kit 75055. I did and wow, it is a fun but large 1,359 piece project. This would be great as a kit to build with friends or as a large gift for someone into the Star Wars movie franchise and LEGOs at $129.
