Further with Ford 2016 Preview

As a key opinion leader in the fields of technology and connected automobiles, Ford Motor Company has chosen me to attend their Further With Ford 2016 in Dearborn, Michigan at their World Headquarters. Ford is sponsoring my travel and lodging.

“At Ford, we view ourselves as both a mobility and an auto company, as we drive innovation in every part of our business,” said Mark Fields, Ford Motor Company president and CEO.

Mark Fields will be giving the opening keynote at 12:30pm ET on September 12 and his announcements will be streamed live. He will be talking about the various Ford Trend sessions and what is in the new Ford Trends 2016 guide. I am hoping for several announcements regarding Ford’s vehicles too.

I am interested in learning from their various sessions which are named; Chasing Butterflies, Everlasting Infatuation, Cult of Disruption and Journey Through Sound. The Journey Through Sound Ford Trend session will take place at the hotel before leaving for the Ford World HQ on the first day.

I will be participating in a visit to their Ford Development Center. I hope to find something very interesting there to share with you on social media.

The speakers who will be presenting their ideas during each session are from various companies around the world. They include DAN ARIELY – James B. Duke Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Economics, Duke University — HENRY BLODGET – Cofounder, CEO, editor in chief, Business Insider — DR. JOHN IZZO – Corporate Social Responsibility Leadership Author, Speaker, Advisor — WALTER ROBB – Co-CEO, Whole Foods — SHONA QUINN – Sustainability Leader, Eileen Fisher — KIMBERLY PITTEL – Vice President, Sustainability, Environment and Safety Engineering, Ford Motor Company — TIM BROWN – CEO and President, IDEO — JIM HACKETT – Chairman, Ford Smart Mobility LLC, Ford Motor Company — SHERYL CONNELLY – Manager, Global Consumer Trends and Futuring, Ford Motor Company — DAN LYONS – Tech journalist, author — JENNIFER JOLLY – Technology Journalist and RAJ NAIR – Executive Vice President, Product Development, and Chief Technical Officer, Ford Motor Company.

“Future mobility solutions will require fresh ideas and vigorous collaboration between researchers inside Ford and with other technology leaders outside the automotive industry,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development and chief technical officer.

Bill Ford, Chairman of Ford Motor Company, will be giving the closing session.

Last year’s Further With Ford 2015 event was held at Pier 27 in San Francisco, California. It will be nice to be back at Ford’s World HQ and maybe see if there are a few Pokemon running around the halls.

The agenda mentions visits to Ford’s World Headquarters, Ford Development Center and multiple Ford Trend sessions. Be sure to follow me on @24k Twitter, @24k Instagram, @24kMedia Instagram and 24kMedia’s YouTube channel for live coverage.
