Boxee’s new app store brings along with it an API or Application Protocol Interface, which allows developers to extend the increasingly popular open source digital media center software. Some of these new apps integrate Pandora, an Internet radio site as well as RadioTime and a Mozilla-based browser. The browser is very important in this upgrade to the Boxee software as it once again provides a way of accessing Hulu.com. Hulu.com is a web site which aggregates television shows from its partners that commonly have episodes available within 24 hours after being on TV.

It was not that long ago, 10 years, that I first started hearing and getting excited about the new iMac’s. I was told from an Apple rep that this new computer was going to completely change the way normal consumers purchased computers. Studies had shown that people were using more space than what could fit on a floppy so they got rid of it. The studies also showed that the USB version of the Iomega Zip Drive was beginning to dominate the portable storage market. To completely change the way people bought their computer made sense after hearing the whole story.
Apple consumer electronics devices almost always are on ‘Best of’ lists from a wide range of media outlets, small to mainstream. Once in a long while a product will make it to a ‘Worst of’ list. It seems this just happens to be one of those times. The Apple TV is on the ‘Top 10 Worst Tech Product’ for 2007 by Yahoo! Tech.
