Apple component audio visual cables with connect an iPod or iPhone to a television. There are a few iPods, including the iPod Touch and iPhone that will operate with these cables.
The iPhone once hooked up will show the screen above. It will show a preview of what is playing, along with the standard video controls on the iPhone.
Component video output to a television is supported by iPod nano (third generation) and iPod classic at 480p or 576p resolution, and by iPod touch and iPhone at 480i or 576i resolution.
What’s interesting and helpful about the Apple component cables is that it also includes a USB connector that can be plugged into a power source, such as a computer or the already included USB Power Adapter.
