The TweetHouse Group is back in Las Vegas for the International Consumer Electronics Show 2011. They ran the official Social Media track for CES this year. During the NAB 2010 conference in Las Vegas, which I also spoke about Twitter and The Entertainment Industry Panel, they have asked me back to speak at their first session of the day. The CES 2011 session was about Social Media In Action: Philosophies, Strategies and Tactics That Consistently Win. The speakers were Christopher Rauschnot, Thomas Knoll, Warren Whitlock plus moderator Rohit Bhargava. We spoke about the following.

What are the driving forces behind winning social media campaigns? How do some companies consistently gain followers, earn goodwill, and increase their sales using all kinds of social media tools? We continued the conversation by talking about understanding your audience, fitting the right conversation to the right social tool, and the power of real-world interaction. Thomas Knoll is the community architect for Zappos, Warren Whitlock is an author about Twitter and moderator Rohit Bhargava works at a public relations firm with his focus on social media.



Last year at the Consumers Electronics Show I spoke with another group about Brand Engagement via Social Media at CES 2010. It was a great experience to speak at this year’s International Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas. I was happy to write a post about how FourSquare location based check-in service marketed the event, with big consumer electronics brands for the Huffington Post. Excited to see that close to 1,000 people checked into CES 2011 on the first day the expo floor was open. Looks like people are getting the idea about location based check-in services. This should help for future interactive events.
